Title: Teacher
Reports to: Center Manager
Salary Range: Contact HR Department

Purpose and Position:

The Teacher is responsible for managing the classroom. It is the responsibility of this staff person to develop activities suited to the individual needs of children in the class. The teacher is responsible for the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of each child in the class.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Conduct on-going observations and recordings of each child to determine developmental need status. 2.Assess each child utilizing the Agency's assessment tool and use results to develop individual plans. 3.Develop lesson plans that conform to both the individual needs of the children, the Agency's curriculum guide and integrate other components. 4.Implement activities as outlined in the lesson plan, both indoor and outdoor. 5.Conduct home visits (minimum 2)and Parent/Teacher conference (minimum 2), on each child assigned, to inform parents of educational on-going activities, progress of child and individual developmental needs. 6.Conduct conferences with parents on a regular basis. 7.Provide opportunities and activities for children with disabling condition and participate in the Individual Education Plan (IEP)staffing. 8.Maintain arrangement of the classroom to ensure that learning centers, teaching aids and equipment is inviting to the children and stimulates their interest through supervised use. 9.Plan and implement enrichment activities for children to include field trips to reinforce learning units and to broaden the child's experience. 10.Maintain all required educational records as instructed by the Early Childhood Development Manager. 11.Encourage parent involvement.

*Good communication; written and oral *Organized,good classroom management *Computer application skills *Valid Florida driver's license

Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or in a related field

Title: Disabilities / Mental Health Specialist
Reports to: Early Childhood Development Manger
Salary Range: $30,000 - $35,000

Purpose and Position:

* Provides professional expertise in Early Childhood Mental Health in order to provide consultation, training, and compliance monitoring. * Provides professional expertise in behavior and disability services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides classroom visits & consultations to teaching teams and families regarding child's mental health and/or disabilities. 2. Assist staff in linking services for children and families 3. Provide trainings 4. Maintain partnerships with local LEA, and community services that will assist our children and families.

Skill and Knowledge Requirements:

1. Knowledge of Exceptional Student Education Federal Laws (PL 94-142) IDEA 2. Knowledge of IFSP/IEP 3. Ability to work independently as well as in a team 4. Ability to utilize resources and technology to provide guidance to staff and parents 5. Excellent communication skills: writing, computer skills, internet, email, etc.

Education and Experiential Requirements:

* Bachelors Degree Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology or related field * At least one year of experience in Early Childhood Special Education * Significant knowledge/education in early childhood mental health and development.

Title: Education Specialist
Reports to: Early Childhood Development Manager
Salary Range: $30,000 - $35,000

Purpose and Position:

To maintain quality environments with attention to safety, health and educational measures and provide educational structure: coach, mentor, supervise and train all educational staff. Provide short term and long range planning for service delivery and training; integrate components, including health, nutrition, disabilities; function as liaison between educational staff and Early Childhood Development Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Monitor the performance of educational staff 2. Recommend areas of improvement to staff and promote training that reflects the individual needs of staff members and/or the team as a whole. 3. Document and administer feedback and utilize Professional Development Plans when warranted. Insure documentation is forwarded to ECD Manager. 4. Ensure teaching staff progress towards educational requirements as supported by the Performance Standards. 5. Arrange and facilitate regular meetings with staff and provide for mandated trainings and updates to policies and procedures. 6. Monitor, evaluate and insure training of classroom volunteers. 7. Ensure program compliance with codes of all state and local licensing agencies and grant requirements. 8. Ensure all educational staff properly administer screenings and assessments 9. Guide educational staff in developmentally appropriate practices and individualization 10. Attend Multi Disciplinary meetings, IEP meetings, consultations, and staff meetings as necessary. 11. Observe children and provide suggestions for behavior management and education programming to meet the individual needs of all children 12. Establish and monitor systems and services that ensure program quality and compliance with Head Start Performance Standards. 13. Submit monthly reports to the ECD Manager 14. Monitor and assure safety of facilities and assure availability of supplies. 15. Participate in and assist with community events.

Skill and Knowledge Requirements:

1. Experience in design and delivery of training. 2. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 3. Strong computer skills, spreadsheets, Internet and e-mail. 4. Strong team leadership skills. 5. Must have a valid Florida Driver's License and proof of insurance and have access to transportation. 6. Must be Pediatric CPR & First Aid certified. 7. Must complete state required 45 hours within the first ninety days of employment Physical/Mental Abilities and Processes 1. Ability to determine and prioritize workload while being flexible. 2. Substantial decision making in the allocation of resources to program components. 3. Significant problem solving in concert with team members. 4. Application of the principles of early childhood development and team leadership to work place situations and processes. 5. Ability to focus on organizational detail while maintaining a bigger picture vision. 6. Continuous upgrading of leadership skills and professional expertise. 7. Regular kneeling, stooping, and bending. 8. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Education and Experiential Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required, and three years progressively responsible professional experience which demonstrates significant supervisory and administrative responsibilities and a strong knowledge of theories and practices of Early Childhood Education/Development.
